Indira Khatiwada is a passionate entrepreneur, born in a small mountain village in Dolakha district, Nepal. Her journey into the world of tourism began over seven years ago when she started leading and organizing treks and tours across Nepal in various travel agencies. Drawing from her experiences and expertise, she founded Himalayan Dream Team in early 2014 with the vision of providing exceptional services and creating unforgettable travel memories for every traveler.

One of Indira’s driving forces is her belief in the potential of sustainable and luxury tourism, particularly adventure travel, to contribute significantly to Nepal’s economical development. She recognizes Nepal’s unique allure as a dream destination for adventurers and nature enthusiasts, given its spectacular landscapes, including the world’s eight tallest mountains, including the iconic Mt. Everest, and countless trekking routes that offer once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Indira’s dedication to understanding the needs and expectations of travelers extends beyond Nepal’s borders. She has traveled extensively to countries like Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Greece, and various Asian countries. These experiences have provided her with valuable insights into foreign cultures, lifestyles, and visitor expectations during their holidays in Nepal.

Meet Sameer Khatiwoda: Our Visionary Executive Director

Born in Lalbandi, Sarlahi, Sameer Khatiwoda's adventure journey began early amidst Dolakha's mountainous terrain. His passion for tourism ignited in 2010, leading him to engage with travelers from diverse backgrounds, immersing himself in Nepal's cultural richness.

Certified by the Government of Nepal in 2012, Sameer became an expert guide, exploring iconic cultural sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square,Pashupatinath,Bhaktapur,Patan,Boudha and Swayambhunath. His trekking guide license enabled him to lead successful treks to Everest Base Camp and other renowned destinations.

In 2016, Sameer further enriched his skills by completing a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA), equipping himself with the managerial and operational acumen necessary to excel in the dynamic tourism industry. He has traveled to several countries like Thailand, Indonesia, India, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Luxembourg. He has traveled to European countries more than 10 times, gaining a better understanding of their preferences and dislikes. He has experienced trips organized from the worst to the best.

As our Executive Director, Sameer oversees tour, trekking, and expedition management, ensuring flawless execution. His dedication and expertise make Himalayan Dream Team Treks & Tours Pvt Ltd the premier choice for Himalayan adventures.

Munu, the heartbeat of our office, proudly hails from Nepal's majestic mountains. With extensive experience in tourism since our company's inception, she serves as a reliable cornerstone, ensuring that every traveler's journey is exceptional. Her keen eye for detail shines as she adeptly handles permits, paperwork, and logistics, orchestrating behind-the-scenes operations with finesse to guarantee seamless travel experiences. Munu's unwavering dedication and expertise make her an invaluable asset to our team, as she crafts unforgettable experiences for each traveler with her hospitality and proficiency, embodying the essence of our company's ethos.

Raju Poudyal, born in a mountain village near Kathmandu, moved to the city for education. With a business degree, he managed operations in fabric manufacturing before finding his passion in tourism. Certified as a tour guide in 2012, Raju has since led groups from around the world, gaining diverse experiences. He aims to continue enriching his career in tourism, contributing to Nepal's thriving industry and elevating the professional standards within it. 

Raju takes on the crucial role for organizing sightseeing tours and overseeing tourism in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur. He ensures visitors have unforgettable experiences while highlighting the beauty and heritage of cultural cities of Nepal.

Hem Bahadur Loppa, a trekking expert from Nepal's mountain village. He's been working in tourism since 2010, starting as a carrier and now arranging treks and guiding clients. Hem knows all the major trekking areas in Nepal, like Everest and Annapurna. He's also explored lesser-known places like Langtang, Manaslu, Mustang, and Upper Dolpo.

Hem is known for taking great care of his clients during treks. He plans trips carefully and picks experienced guides to ensure everyone has a fantastic experience. His friendly nature and attention to detail have earned him lots of praise from happy clients.

Om Bahadur Gurung, a native of Nepal's mountainous region, whose passion for trekking ignited in 2009. With a profound curiosity for exploration, Om has dedicated himself to discovering new places, immersing himself in diverse cultures, traditions, and languages. Over the years, Om has emerged as a seasoned trekking leader, guiding groups from various countries including Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Australia, USA, and beyond. His deep-rooted appreciation for cultural diversity enriches each trekking experience, as he fosters meaningful connections between travelers and the communities they encounter along the way. Om's adventurous spirit, coupled with his genuine interest in people and their stories, makes him a beacon of inspiration in the world of trekking.
